Chi-Alpha Missions Trip Alaska

Donation protected
Hey guys, my name is Samuel Velarde. I'm 19 years old, and i'm a freshman at Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas. Just a few months ago the enemy was constantly whispering in my ear that I wasn't good enough to be used my God.  The enemy was constantly reminding me of my past and using my past against me to define who I was. This caused me to fall astray from God and his plan for me. It wasn't until a few months ago that I got connected to Chi alpha, a student ministry organization at Angelo State University, that I began to trust in God's process in my life. With my heart all in and devoted, I decided to no longer ignore God's calling on my life and to pursue him as he pursued me.  The crave I have to spread the gospel to all corners of my community, nation and world has never been more greater than it is now.  I know for sure what I am called to do in life, and that's to be a minister or missionary. I am not sure where in the world I am called to serve yet, but I am constantly praying everyday that God leads me and uses me wherever I am needed in his story of humanity. This past year has been an awesome experience for me.  Spring break I was able to participate in my 1st ever missions trip. I was able to help out with chi alpha as we traveled to Victoria, Texas, to help rebuild the community who suffered greatly due to Hurricane Harvey. It was a heart changing experience to go out, serve and be the salt of the Earth that individuals desperately need.  This summer I have the greatest opportunity I have ever had to do something great for the kingdom of God. Chi alpha will be taking a trip up to Fairbanks, Alaska where we will help facilitate a facility for chi alpha so that the organization can help bring individuals from all over the world,  to train and guide them into becoming awesome leaders that will be sent out to all corners of the Earth to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  It breaks my heart knowing there are people out there who just don't know who Jesus is, like I do. It is our great commission to tell them about him, and I feel I want to help lead individuals who don't know Christ to him.
Missions trip in general have always been scary to me because of one main reason. MONEY. As a college student, money isn't something that we possess in large amounts. In the past when introduced to the idea of going on a missions trip, I have always counted myself out because I couldn't afford it. I don't want that case for me anymore. I am tired of always being on the bench of something like this. I fill that it is God's will and calling on my life that I must go on this trip. When the trip to  Alaska was first introduced, I knew I had to go. A wise man once told me that if there is a will, there is a way, and I feel that that no matter the situation, God's will for my life will be done.
I am in serious need of financial help for this trip. The trip as a whole is $2,000. I am asking for 20 individuals to help sponsor $100 and invest in me to be able to go on this trip. Also for others, whatever money you can give to me and to chi alpha, just know your blessings would go a long way for the kingdom of God. I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for taking time out of your day to watch my video and read more about my story. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. The information is at the end of the video. Thank you.

Sincerely,
