Imagine facing a rare and life-threatening illness, raising 3-year-old twins on your own, and being unable to work—all while navigating the immense grief of multiple family losses. This is Cheynne’s reality. We are starting this fundraiser to provide a critical lifeline for Cheynne and her two young children as they rebuild their lives after leaving her marriage.

Cheynne’s Story: A Battle for Survival

Over the past year, Cheynne has endured an unimaginable series of hardships. She was diagnosed with a severe and rare kidney disease, a condition that has been quietly destroying her kidneys for years. This illness requires constant, careful management of her body's electrolytes and pH levels, a delicate balance that, if thrown off, can become life-threatening. She's been hospitalized multiple times, even ending up in the ICU.

In her own words, Cheynne shares the constant uncertainty she lives with:

"My body decided that everything I put in it must be a threat... I ended up in ICU not being able to walk, having experienced a heart attack a couple of days beforehand... Now, daily I have to take many pills all throughout the day to be sure I survive. I have to watch out when I get sick or what kind of medications I take... Medicine is the thing keeping my body alive."

Her condition makes it impossible to hold a job. She suffers from extreme fatigue, memory issues, and sudden, severe episodes that can land her back in the hospital at a moment’s notice.

The Urgent Need for Support

Cheynne has courageously taken the first steps to secure a new future for her and her twins, a boy and a girl. She has left her husband and is in the process of applying for government assistance. However, these applications can take months to process, and she has no income or savings to support them in the meantime.

The funds raised from this campaign will go directly to covering their immediate needs, including:

Housing: Rent and utilities to provide a safe, stable home for her children.

Medical Expenses: Co-pays for her frequent doctor visits, medications, and treatments not fully covered by insurance.

Basic Living Costs: Groceries, diapers, and other essentials to get them through the next few months.

Cheynne's love for her children is her greatest motivation. She wrote:

"The main thing is staying alive to be able to figure these things out!!... I'm even more glad that my illnesses didn't take my life and know now that I had a hand on me, watching me and making sure I was okay so that my loved ones didn't have to face even more big losses this year."
