The beard craze will hit the Cheverly Police Department for the month of November, 2017, but for officers, it’s not just about looks. The Cheverly Police will participate in "No Shave November" to raise money for Cheverly children and familes during the holiday season.
The Cheverly Police Department is raising funds in support of the 2017 Cheverly COPS, Kids and Families Program. This year, 10 children from the Cheverly community will be selected to go Holiday shopping with Cheverly police officers and get to ride in a patrol car to get there. After shopping, the children will provided with a free lunch and gifts from local Cheverly businesses. In addition to the kids, 10 families will also be selected to receive funds to help out for the holidays.
