Chesterton Academy of Omaha is entering her third year. With a new headmaster, new campus buildings, and excellent new faculty coming aboard, the future has never been brighter!
These exciting blessings have been matched by an increased demand for enrollment. In the immediate term, we need help from the community to keep a classical, Catholic education affordable and accessible to all who want it.

THE FOUNDATIONS
Beginning July of 2017, Chesterton Academy of Omaha is launching its first major campaign.
Join the Adventure: The Foundations for Omaha’s Next Great School is aimed at (1) inviting more members of the community to join the adventure of God’s work at the academy, and (2) to provide a strong foundation for the future through financial gifts.
CAO has been blessed with a massive boost in enrollments for the upcoming school year. With increased enrollment comes increased need for scholarships. In order to accommodate this growth, Phase I of this capital campaign is specifically focused on immediate needs for financial aid.
Funds from this campaign will primarily provide scholarships during this year’s enrollment growth spurt and scholarships in the future, provide the foundation for developing full-time faculty and staff positions as our current faculty and staff are all part-time, provide the means for developing our programs for younger ages and for necessary work for our first building, and for developing the community and financial resources to ensure the work of the academy well into the future through the accreditation process, growing our staff and student body, and one day, an endowment.
The campaign will run until December 31st, 2017.

OMAHA'S NEXT GREAT SCHOOL
Chesterton Academy of Omaha is Omaha’s first Catholic and classical school. As a Catholic school, we realize that our commitment is in educating students in the ways of the Lord and to see how all other subjects of study point to the Creator and His Church. This vision is manifested through daily Mass, prayer to begin each class, employees make an oath of fidelity, theology class, retreats, and a curriculum that integrates the Catholic Faith into every subject.
As a classical school, we emphasize the art of learning through the enduring and authoritative works and figures of the past. It is learning from those that came before us that we begin to see the exploration and discovery of truth, goodness, and beauty, in every age. In learning to think critically, with the help of tools like the Socratic method, and studying the original works of the greats of Western Civilization, we begin to know how best to discern the situations of today. As a classical high school, we emphasize the importance of Rhetoric; through imitation of rhetorical works and the development of the skill for their own topics, students learn to express themselves well and persuasively. This happens primarily through speech, debate and papers.
The academy is also in the beginning process of developing programs and activities for younger students in the K-8 range. We are also beginning to develop activities and opportunities for our parents and adults within the community.
Chesterton Academy of Omaha is entering its third year. Founded in 2015, the academy will be moving into its first building, has its first full-time headmaster, is growing the student body to encompass 9th-11th grades, and plans to begin the accreditation process soon. The Academy is located at Saint Barnabas Church in midtown Omaha.
