Chester the Cat's Vet Bill
Donation protected
This is my baby boy cat Chester. I adopted him from the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, MA. over a year ago. He is the sweetest little "big" guy. He is like my son as I do not have children and sits to watch TV at night with me by my feet like a Lab dog would do. He is 7 years old and has FIV (the feline equivalent of HIV).He started limping on his hind legs about a month ago. I thought it was perhaps a sprain or broken bone but that was not the case. I could not bear to see him having difficulty squatting to go in his litter box which is a basic nessecity so I took him to the Massachsetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn to see the specialists i.e. the Neurological team to get an MRI. He is in very capable hands now and I feel I did the right thing. Now it just needs to be determined whether he has a tumor or if it is inflammation/infection in his mid-spine area (praying for the latter) but between this visit and previous vet visits, the cost for Chester's care has come to almost $5,000. I feel that he is too young to give up hope. I like most people work and live week to week in a suburb right outside of Boston so these costs are definitely going to put a big strain on my finances but I do not regret my decision. I will accept any donation you find it in your heart to offer and appreciate the fact that you took the time to read my story. God Bless.
