Chesapeake Gas Explosion Hero
Donation protected
My cousin, Joseph Gandia, courageously helped save his neighbors following a gas explosion on October 14, 2018 in the Deep Creek area of Chesapeake. He ran into a burning house and with the help of others, pulled out one of the residents before the house became fully engulfed in flames. Unfortunately, the explosion also damaged his home and his family (his mother, him, his wife and two daughters) are currently displaced. Red Cross is temporarily putting them up in a hotel, however, we do not know how long that will last. Also, it seems like they may have lost most of their possessions due to fire and water damage. The girls will need clothes, as will the rest of the family. We are not sure what other expenses will come along, but their house was condemned today and they will need to find a new home. Please keep them in your thoughts. If you can help, thank you!
