Cheryl Terris road to Recovery

Donation protected

I would like to introduce you to my aunt Cheryl. She has always been energetic, witty,  bubbly, spontanious and very loving. She is a friend to many, a loving wife, amazing mother , the best aunt I could ask for , an awsome sister ,daughter and her new favorite roll as Nana to 3 beautiful busy boys.
Cheryl still has many friends from back in her school days , her many years at overwaitea foods and in banking at RBC and BMO, as well as from her church family.
Cheryl has always given 150% to any and all volunteering she has done from Brownie leader , Kids Help Phone , United Way , SPCA, Salvation Army soup kitchen, through church she has acted as youth leader, sunday school teacher, volunteering for Haiti awareness through fundraising/ recruiting people to volunteer, organizing and taking teams to Haiti. She also helped fundraising and awareness about the Moringa tree, even bringing two young men into her home from Haiti.
She has opened her home to about 20 foreign exchange students.

In 2014 Cheryl had severely broke her shoulder, she had a couple of surgeries and was doing some rehab programs through WCB. In april of this year she was diagnosed with stage 4 non-hodgkins  Lymphoma. Cheryl is now unable to complete the worksafe B.C. program so they have had to suspend her income until she is able to restart it.

Cheryl is on B.C. medical but has no extended medical coverages, she could not work due to the injuries from 2014.
Cheryl has had some negative reactions from the chemo and as a result she now needs to get stronger anti- nausea  medications  and shots after each chemo to help boost her white blood count and still at this point not quite sure how much the cost of the steriod treatment is that they are going to put her on are. This has been a huge financial drain on her. She has applied for a secured credit line to help pay for this but the lack of income she was denied. She has also appealed the worksafe decision but were told that could take up to a year to resolve. So we are looking to help her with her medications and treatments  and the financial burden this is causing for her. She is a fighter and she will fight every step of the way.

It is really hard to ask for help but sometimes you just have to. Cheryl has alway been the one to help she never asks anything from any one but it has come time we her family are asking for her.

Thank you in advance for any donations that will help us take care of a wonderful woman whose life has consisted of taking care of others. If monetary help is not an option we ask that you keep her in your prayers and to pass this message along.
