Support The Knox County Red Book of Resources

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Sarah Strong and I am raising funds for Mrs. Cheryl Oakes Sutton, founder of The Knox County Red Book of Resources.

Mrs. Sutton needs Emergency Home Repair & Roof Replacement services to address the badly damaged & serious leak in her roof and she needs the collaborative effort or support of her community to ensure this happens as quickly as possible.

THIS IS URGENT, IT CANNOT WAIT.

Water damage to the roof and surrounding structures must be addressed immediately for Mrs. Sutton to remain in her home. The roof will need to be replaced as there are multiple leaks throughout the house, the most critical area being the master bedroom and its outer walls.

The damage has resulted in black mold found within parts of the house. This will need to be removed along with any structural damage to the area either being repaired or replaced.

This GoFundMe is being created in response to a Facebook post made by Mrs. Sutton at the beginning of April 2023 entitled:

" HELP! I Need a Roof! "

Video footage is of the leak and associated damage found within the master bedroom. Simply put, most clearly and concisely ---- the situation becomes evident literally in a matter of one single solitary minute. (https://www.facebook.com/1072503631/videos/977134020328709)

  • " See, im not just saying I need a roof.... I'm saying that water is pouring in my house when it rains. It's pouring. It's not even a drip. Like, this bucket will be full if it rains for an hour. There's even a mushroom growing on the floor, its ridiculous.

  • And I can't get any help financing a roof because I don't have homeowners insurance. But if i could afford homeowners insurance than I probably could afford a roof.

  • Does anybody.... know anywhere.... where I can get any help? My walls are moldy and it's not very healthy. So.... Somebody.... PLEASE HELP! "

CALL TO ACTION:

THE KNOX COUNTY RED BOOK OF RESOURCES NEEDS EMERGENCY HOME REPAIR TO REPLACE HER ROOF AND REPAIR HER HOME.

MRS. CHERYL OAKES SUTTON NEEDS THE ASSISTANCE & THE SUPPORT OF HER COMMUNITY.

I urge You to take a moment and reflect on the achievements of Mrs. Sutton - her skills and capability shown through her efforts and drive in both action and deed. To note, the effectiveness in which she has been able to accomplish so much and doing so with so little in the realm of monetary assistance is quite an achievement of and on it own merit. She has operated on limited or zero funding, perhaps only with the contributions or donations that have been provided here most recently of items used to create emergency backpacks with supplies for the homeless.

I present this for your consideration simply so one might ask themselves Just how much might this woman be able to accomplish if given the Love and Support or Resources available from that of her fellow Community?

We - Cheryl and the Members of The Knox County Red Book of Resources would be ever so grateful to anyone that might be able to help us or provide assistance with fixing her home and finding a solution so that Mrs. Sutton may resume what she does BEST and focus on helping meeting peoples need as a Community Connector and Program Advocate.

Please donate, volunteer and help spread the word in any way that you possibly can. Reach out and share this with all of your friends, family and social or business network... With Anyone that you think might be able and willing to Help.

Whether it be monetary donations, assisting with necessary materials or service repair Your Support and Help will make the World of Difference. If we come together as a Community, I know we can make this Project Become a Reality!

Most Sincerely,

Sarah M. Strong
