Megan Chenovick, Lyric Coloratura Soprano graces operatic, theatrical and concert stages alike. A two-time Northwest Regional Metropolitan Opera National Council Finalist, Megan recently debuted the role of Lucia to great acclaim with Skagit Opera. "[Chenovick] is magnificent... In an effort to capitalize on her recent success, Megan has ventured out from the Northwest with ongoing travel to New York. She is also fufilling a life-long dream of studying in Europe, and will spend 2-3 weeks in August, 2013 in Coesfeld, Germany at the Neil Semer Vocal Institute cultivating her performance and language skills.
The Neil Semer Vocal Institute in Coesfeld, Germany will be in its 17th year in 2013. It is an intensive program of technical and artistic study in a beautiful, European setting. Past participants are singing at the Met, New York City Opera, San Francisco Opera, Chicago Lyric, La Scala, Covent Garden, Glyndebourne, Berlin Staatsoper, Santa Fe Opera, Dresden, Munich, Basel et.al. The student body is international, and has included talented singers from the US, Canada, Mexico and most European countries. The number of participants is limited to twenty, to insure sufficient individual attention and a high standard of work.
While Megan has been able to meet her own travel needs thus far, your help is needed to take the next step. The 2013/2014 season promises to be a crucial time as she shares her talent with a larger community. We invite you to contribute at any level to support this artist and share a piece of the dream.

Other recent operatic roles include Bubikopf in Der Kaiser von Atlantis with Music of Remembrance conducted by Seattle Symphony's Ludovic Morlot, Musetta in La Bohème with Bellevue Opera and Giannetta in L'elisir d'Amore with Tacoma Opera. Megan has also tread the boards as Marian Paroo in The Music Man and Guenevere in Camelot with Lyric Light Opera, Magnolia Hawks in Show Boat with the Village Theatre and performed as the Guest Diva singing the title aria "Glitter & Be Gay" for the Seattle Men's & Women's Choruses at McCaw Hall.
Megan is a 2008 Sun Valley Opera Competition Finalist, 2006 & 2007 Michael Mitchell Memorial Scholarship recipient, 2007 & 2008 Ladies Musical Club Solo Competition Finalist, & 2007 Alan Lund Scholarship recipient
In addition to her performance schedule Megan also helps produce monthly events as a Co-Managing Diva of Opera On Tap- Seattle and teaches private voice lessons.
