On May 18th 2017 Cheney's life was changed forever. He went to the E.R. with symptoms similar to that of a stroke only to find out that he in fact had a tumor on his brain. The news was devistating to him and his family. It was later discovered through surgery that the tumor was a cancerous mass called Glioblastoma ( http://www.aans.org/Patients/Neurosurgical-Conditions-and-Treatments/Glioblastoma-Multiforme ).

Cheney is an amazing man and anyone who knows him wouldn't disagree. This has been incredibly difficult for him and his family, not only emotionally but financially as well. Cheney did not have insurance when this all began and is still fighting very hard to find any sort of insurance assistance at this time. We were very ill-prepared for this diagnosis as most people would be. Anything helps at this point and goes towards his perscriptions, doctors and hospital visits as well as normal mothly houshold bills.

We remain optimistic each day so that after his chemo and radiation therapies he may return back to the silly, kind-hearted, gaming Fiance, Father, Grandfather, friend and loved one that we all know and love him to be. Nobody looks at this diagnosis as a death sentence but rather a large obsticle in the road that we must overcome to get to greater things.
