Nazifa Mehic (51), my sister who lives in Bosnia has already suffered several strokes of fate. After she had a successful kidney transplant, things seemed to be improving again. Unfortunately, 4 months ago she had a sudden tingling sensation in the mouth area. She was sent from one doctor to the next in Bosnia for 4 months, but without a proper diagnosis. As it is now clear, two healthy teeth were unnecessarily extracted. She couldn't stand the pain. Her right eye can no longer open properly and the left half of her face is very swollen. My oldest sister took Nazifa to Switzerland, where doctors from the Baselland Cantonal Hospital agreed to examine and treat her! We are very grateful for that! We turn to you for this reason because Nazifa lives abroad, she is not insured in Switzerland. We have to take over all examinations and treatments privately. After an MRI, ultrasound and an examination by the doctor, a very aggressive lymphoma was unfortunately diagnosed. Unfortunately, according to the doctor, it has already developed offshoots in the brain and liver. Since we did not expect such a negative result, we are dependent on support. Unfortunately, the costs are beyond our budget because Nazifa has to start chemotherapy as soon as possible. The oncologist estimates the costs at around at least $230,000.
