***WE REACHED OUR GOAL!!! I would like to personally thank each and everyone of you for your generosity and support! I'm very happy to announce that between gofundme and people sending checks, Michael has enough money to get his chemo medication for this month!!! That is amazing!!! We are truly blessed to have so many wonderful people by Michael's side! Our family is forever grateful to each and every one of you who donated and shared Michael's story!   Thank you again for helping my Uncle!***

It is out of desperation that I am asking for your help! Michael needs $4,000 for his chemo medicine by next week!! We have no other option so at this point we are going to put or pride aside and ask for help from anyone who is able and willing to donate. My Uncle Mike is 48 years old; he has been battling cancer for over 10 years now! Last year we received devastating news, his cancer had come back and this time it was inoperable. Our hearts sank, how could this be? How could this be happening to OUR family? How could this be happening to MY uncle? Why would God allow such an amazing man to suffer through such a terrible illness? There are many questions I still do not know the answers to and honestly I may never know the answers. But we have come to terms with the fact that his time here on earth with us is limited. It is heart wrenching to think about, unbearable to talk about, and quite honestly very depressing. In January 2014, Michael was told he had 2-3 years to live… One year has gone by and he has done amazing! He has days where he is very sick and he has days where he is depressed and feeling down, but he also has days where he is feeling good and he is truly able to appreciate all that life has to offer. But recently we hit a road block; Michael needs his chemo medicine to survive. Unfortunately his chemo medication is extremely expensive, somewhere in the range of $11,000/month, making his co pay out of pocket around $4,000. He was very fortunate and was able to receive funding from a private organization to help him with his co pay up until now. Michael called me today, crying, and scared, the pharmacy just informed him that there is no more funding available and that there are no other organizations that will help with his type of chemo medicine (Sutent). I don’t understand how they can give someone a weeks notice that the funding for their CHEMO medicine will no longer be available?!?! He needs his medicine filled next week, how is a terminally ill man who is sick with cancer, end stage renal disease, diabetes and a whole list of other medical problems supposed to come up with $4,000 for his medicine??? He is disabled and lives on SSDI and he has no way to pay for his medicine! Without his medicine, things could get bad quick. We are desperate and need all the help we can get! Please any amount will help, no donation is too small. If you are unable to donate please share our post, share it once a day if you can, even more if you would like. Share! Share! Share! If everyone donates and shares maybe we can get him his medicine by next week. Thank you so much.
