The Chemo Care Network: Start-up

Mission Statement: Women serving women as the hands, feet and heart of Jesus.

The Chemo Care Network was created to LOVE and SERVE the moms of this world who are going through chemotherapy. We love them by partnering with them in their every day lives; we roll up our sleeves and get messy, we wipe away tears, we laugh and share encouragement, and we pray. Oh, do we pray...

"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us."
{1 John 4: 7-12)

In order to fully LOVE and SERVE these moms, we are asking for your help with a one time donation. Your donation will be used to help cover our ministry start up costs as well as create a reserve fund for ministry needs.

These needs can include and will not be limited to:
- Chemo Care Bags (informational packets, slippers,      
   hats, blankets, etc)
- Grocery store gift cards (meal prep, delivering
   prepared meals, stocking pantries/refrigerators, etc)
- Household cleaning services and/or supplies
- Phoneline and answering machine
- P. O. Box
- Office Supplies (mailers, ink, paper, etc)
- Travel expenses (gas cards, airline tickets for out-of-
   state families)
- Financial help (medical bills, mortgage/rent, utility and
   household payments, car payments and maintenance,  
   daycare)

Whether we are scrubbing week old dishes that just never got cleaned, folding clean laundry that has been sitting since the moment it was dry, digging up weeds that have overtaken a beautiful garden or simply helping a family pay their bills... we are there.

“Then those ‘sheep’ are going to say, ‘Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?’ Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me."
{Matthew 25:40}

For the moms that are going through chemo, we want to relieve you of of these burdens and give you the gift of time. Time to take a nap. Time to hug your spouse. Time to snuggle your kids. Time to take a bubble bath. Time to rest and recover. We give you time.

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest."
{Matthew 11:28}

Our team is made up of women who LOVE Jesus and want to be his hands, feet and heart. The women of this ministry come from all different backgrounds and have a heart and passion for our community, knowing how deeply it needs Jesus.

" For the Son of Man did not come to be cared for. He came to care for others..."
{Mark 10:45}

We are mothers, wives, cooks, cleaners, and drivers... but most importantly, we are sisters, friends and the followers of Jesus.

"It’s better to have a partner than go it alone. Share the work, share the wealth. And if one falls down, the other helps..."
{Ecclesiastes 4:9-10}
