Chemo Care Bags

In March of 2016 I was diagnosed with stage IV Colon cancer. I underwent surgery and the picture you see was taken on my last day chemo. I look very happy and I really was. It was a great day and a huge relief to me. Chemo is ugly, scary, lonely, confusing, numbing, uncomfortable and just plain hard.
I am so greatful to all the people that helped me while I was sick and would like to give back to the cancer community by making “Chemo care bags”. These bags will include comfort items that patients have told me they would appreciate having. Those items include things like chapstick, lotion, snacks, hard candy, puzzle books, comfy socks, water bottles, journals, coloring books, etc. An average bag will cost $15-20. If I were to raise all the funds I could make 450 bags, passing out 30 bags a day for a total of 15 days. That is my goal I’m hoping to reach!!! I’m starting out using my own money so anything that you donate is greatly appreciated!!!
