Chemo For Young Tilahun
My fellow dancers and friends from around the world. Please take a moment and read this story about a young boy who loves to dance, despite having already lost one leg to cancer. Help him in this great time of need.
Tilahun is a 16 year old who currently lives in Ethiopia with his doctor and a household of other children who are and have been fighting the big C. He has spent the past two summers coming to my mothers home in Rochester, New York before and after attending Camp Good days.
Tilahun has had a reoccurance of cancer which has aggressively come back into his lungs. Our family can house him, show him love and support but can only afford a small portion of the cost for the chemo treatment out of our own pockets. Tilahun does not have insurance. My mother is trying her best to donate as much financial support as she can towards his treatments. We still must pay for quality of life and the day to day needs of this wonderful boy. Your financial help will go towards a fighting chance for Tilahun. Your support will pay for his treatments first and foremost. If there is any funding left over, that will all go towards his day to day needs and comforts as he battles the effects of his treatment.
Treatment in Ethiopia is not an option. We are working with local medical professionals who are willing to donate free time towards his cause but we need help affording the treatments to give this child a fighting chance.
