<div>As the war continues to tear apart Ukraine, work is scarce and people are scraping by — including my dear friend Vadym, who is a pediatric neurosurgeon and medic who worked on the frontlines for months until he became too sick.

<div>Vadym has a metastatic brain tumor that gives him seizures. He is unable to operate or continue his work as a medic. His life-expectancy is very short (I consulted with a doctor with decades of experience at Sloan-Kettering in NYC) and he needs your help to get through the next few months so he can be with his family.

<div>He is right now in the ICU with yet another micro-ischemic stroke and is unable to fund the medications he needs. He told me that, at times, he has to choose between buying medications and food.
