Chemo for Our 3-Year Old Golden Retriever, Griffin

My wonderful, kind, and generous friends Riley Mc Carthy and Kelan Mc Carthy recently found out that their sweet golden boy, Griffin, has the most aggressive form of lymphoma. Without chemotherapy, he may only have a few weeks to live. 


Riley and Kelan were still healing from the sudden death of Riley’s beloved golden retriever, Rosebud, when they received the news about Griff. We are all devastated, but no one more so than Riley and Kelan. 


Griffin is a pup who adores everyone and everything. He is only 3 years old and we all thought he would get the chance to live a long, beautiful life.


We’re humbly asking for donations so that Riley and Kelan have the means to do a round of chemo to give Griffin a happier, longer life. Without chemo, he may have days or weeks to live. With the most affordable form of chemo, he could have several months. With the most effective form of chemo, he could go into remission and have a year or even longer.


Obviously, nothing is more precious to Riley and Kelan than Griffin’s quality of life. They have been assured by Griffin’s oncologist that chemo will not affect his body the way it would affect a human body—Griff will not be miserable or in pain from his treatment. It would simply give him more time with the people he loves most in the world.


We are going to do our best to raise some money so that our friends can have more time with Griffin, who they love more than anything.


$5,000 is the total amount for the most affordable chemo, and $12,000 is the total amount for the most effective form of chemo. All donations will go directly to Griffin’s medical bills.
