As most of you know, the entire world is suffering from the pandemic of the coronavirus COVID-19.
It has derailed the entire food and beverage industry of affected cities, and unfortunately has finally come to Chicago and our brand new baby, Chef's Special Cocktail Bar. We helped to open doors in January of this year, leaving jobs and careers in other paths, to help get this project off of the ground. But now, less than three months after we've opened, we're out of options.
All of the Chef's Special partners and management team did every thing they could to help us, the Chef's Special employees, during this especially trying time. They set up take out orders, solicited donations through their online ordering systems, and had daily discussions to gather thoughts about other ways to support everyone on our team. But today, on Friday March 20th, they unfortunately had to officially close the doors entirely, for the safety of us all. Now we, the front- and back-of-house staff, are asking for help and support to help us make ends meet in this difficult time. If you've enjoyed visiting us since we've opened our doors, or know any of our staff, or ever thought about buying the staff a round -- now is the time to show your support.
Every dollar counts; help us keep our family on track in this difficult time. No gift is too small.
We understand if your financial means are being cut short as well, if so, take action with us, too! Contact your local, state and federal government representatives and tell them they need to follow through closures with financial support for stranded industry workers.
