Chef Larry’s first wife, Gwen Berkowitz, his partner in life, who was responsible for the creation of Chef Larry’s in Titusville, Florida, is in desperate need of your support!
Unfortunately, due to Chef Larry’s untimely death, the closing of the restaurant, compounded by the effects of Covid-19, his intended continuing support of Gwen and their dog Charlotte, after he married a new wife, is now nullified. For 30 years Gwen Berkowitz shared the journey of life, married to Chef Larry. Together the couple built several restaurants in California. Gwen designed and managed the restaurants as Chef Larry worked his magic in the kitchen.
Years later, in 2010, They were at it again in Titusville where once again, the couple transformed a neglected cottage into an enchanting restaurant and Chef Larry dazzled the clientele with his unique cooking style. It was an instant success and Gwen loved her role hosting and managing their enterprise. The couple managed to find a log cabin house to rent in Titusville and shared it with their Siberian huskies.
Tragedy struck in 2017 when Gwen suffered a ruptured appendix and complications from the life-or-death, lengthy surgery left her disabled.
When the couple separated this year, Gwen found a small house to rent and share with their beloved dog, Charlotte and Larry insisted on paying the rent. As he transitioned into a new life with his second wife, Chef Larry was adamant about providing continuing support for her and their Husky for her whole life.
But the unthinkable happened and Titusville’s beloved Chef Larry’s life was suddenly and unexpectedly cut short on a sunny Florida day full of promise. Ironically, the day that Larry died is the same day that Gwen moved into her new home. Because of her disability and lingering mobility issues, she is unable to work at this time
