Chef Dave Brueggemeyer's Family

Chef Dave experienced a massive stroke while at work on Saturday, March 9th.  After many days spent in the hospital, he was then transferred to a couple of different rehabilitation centers. He endured additional complications throughout his time spent at rehab, which landed him back in the ER.  After 70+ days spent in hospitals and rehab centers, he went home in early May.  During his time home in May/June, all of the progress that he made in rehab started to decline, and he returned to rehab again in July for extensive physical and occupational therapies.  While we are so thankful for his progress so far, Chef Dave has a long road ahead of him that requires intense out-patient therapy and neurological doctor appointments.  He is still without use of the right side of his body and requires help with any/all activity.

They now face the onset of all of the medical bills from Dave's time spent at (out of network and in network) hospitals and rehabilitation centers, but they continue to add up with the ongoing therapy.  In addition to the continuous medical bills, they have their regular bills such as a mortgage, etc.  Debbie, Chef's wife, is doing an amazing job caring for Dave during this time.  It is my wish to alleviate the stress of the financial burden from this family during this difficult time.  Dave has not worked since March and they have applied for SSI benefits, but that process could take up to 2 years!  Debbie can only work part-time at the library because she is Dave's full-time caregiver.  Please consider giving a financial blessing in any amount.  Let us rally around this family and help lift their burden!
