Cheesecake’s medical bills

This is Cheesecake - a cat we are caring for in our home of 5 cats. This morning Cheesecake had a very unfortunate accident and broke his Tibia on his right hind leg. While myself and my mom were sleeping he had got his leg caught in a cord under the bed and got spooked and ran while having his leg still wrapped with the cord. Unable to walk and crying in pain we had to rush Cheesecake to our local veterinarian to do X-rays and examine the injury - to then we found he had broken his leg. My mother and myself both are low income and we could not even consider surgery to install plates to fix his leg which would be thousands of dollars. We chose the option to splint it to see if it will heal and with doctors orders to come back weekly to change the splint with sedation. The X-ray alone is $220 with sedation added at $70+, physical examination at $80, bandage and splint at $120 and one anti inflammatory medication at $20 and another pain medication at $100. His bill today was $532.84 and going forward it will be $175 every week for 2 months after to change splint and sedation. At the 2 month mark he will need to go for another follow up Xray to see if the bone has healed.
