Chavy’s Medical Fund

Chavy, husband to our dear Elei, was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma of the left kidney last year.  He underwent partial nephrectomy, with his cancer being in the early stage (IB) then.  Unfortunately, a few months later, the cancer spread to his lungs.  

Chavy needs to take the oral chemotherapy drug Sunitinib maleate (Brand name Sutent by Pfizer) 50 mg/ cap once a day.  Each capsule costs P12,100 ($220) and Chavy needs to take it FOR LIFE.  

As you know, medical expenses in the Philippines are mostly if not entirely out-of-pocket.  The family has exhausted all other means to get help. PCSO has pledged 2 tablets per month.  

We know cancer takes a great toll on the whole family, financially and emotionally.  We hope that by donating any amount, we will somehow give Elei and Chavy and their two boys Enrique and Luis, some reprieve from their burdens and let them know they are not alone in this fight.  

All donations made through gofundme will be personally handed-over to Elei by the end of this year.  (Gofundme only allows US-based Paypal accounts; hence, mine).
