Chastity lost everything in Oregon Wildfires!

On Tuesday, September 8th, my friend Chastity Drobena lost everything she owns when her house and entire neighborhood in Phoenix, Oregon burned to the ground in the Oregon wildfires--only metal remains as you can see from the photo. I have known Chastity for about 15 years. She has always been a super hard working single mom who stuns me with her positivity, even now throughout this week's devastating loss. Chastity is an essential worker nurse who works at an outpatient dialysis clinic, where patients depend on services there to live. Chastity was at work on Tuesday when she was alerted by her landlords about the fire and she was able to go home to retrieve her 2 dogs, 2 dog bowls, a pair of flip flops, a pair of jeans and one box of family photos. Those things, the clothes she was wearing and her car are all she has left. She did that on her lunch hour and returned to work right away because not returning would be very hard on the patients. Chastity and all her coworkers work grueling shifts--very long hours. She slept 2 hours that night and returned to work the next morning at 5:30 am! She keeps telling me she has not lost her hope and gratitude. She is grateful for kind messages, grateful she got her dogs out safely, grateful that her friend is letting her stay with her temporarily and grateful that she has a job. The $20,000 we hope to raise with this GoFundMe will help Chastity buy some clothes, shoes, toiletries, work scrubs, regular essentials needed for day to day life lost in the fire such as cooking equipment... Also she will need to take some unpaid days off to look for a new place to rent, she will need to come up with a security deposit for new place, some basic furniture, bedding etc. and to cover some initial expenses.
