Chas’s Top Surgery Fund!

Hey family, I’m Chas Jones! I am a queer/Black/trans zine maker and wine pro living in
Brooklyn New York. I’ve been identifying and living openly as trans for almost 10 years.

After years of wearing binders to reaffirm my gender identity, I am finally scheduled to have top surgery and feel the wind on my chest.

As a trans person, there are small humilities I experienced that I assumed would always be a part of my life; not being able to move my body freely while working, feeling a sense of longing when my friends want to go to the beach, avoiding close hugs with new friends. After surgery and recovery, I look forward to having a new sense of freedom and ownership with my body.


Without the aid of family support both emotionally and financially, I am asking for support from my own community and beyond to help me reach my goal. I’ve been underemployed for most of this pandemic and money is certainly tight. With that in mind , I appreciate any and all donations.

•Pay for gender reassignment (top surgery) surgery with Dr. Joshua Hyman 

•Afford food and housing during my recovery period

•Purchase the necessary prescriptions to aid in recovery
