Each year about 15,700 kids will be diagnosed with cancer. That means 43 children are diagnosed a day. Over the past 25 years the amount of research and survival rate for children has increased significantly. However, funding new research is imperative to ensure there is a cancer free future for children. Billions of dollars are spent every year on cancer research, but pediatric cancer remains underfunded. Less than 4% of cancer research funding goes towards pediatric cancer! Children deserve more than that!
We organized the Chase the Cure 5k Run to help raise awareness for pediatric cancer and to contribute to pediatric research. All proceeds go to St. Jude's Pediatric Cancer Research!
