Chases Story

This afternoon I got a call from my mom who was graciously looking after my dog asking “is it normal for Chase to shake.” 

The answer in short, was no. However for those of you who know Chase you’ll know he greets everyone with the most excitable greeting. Whether you’re family or strangers, or if you’ve been gone for a long time, or just coming back from going to the bathroom. At first we considered- maybe he was excited. The more questions I asked, the more it became obvious that Chase had to go to the vet. 

Since then I have been on the phone on and off with vets from Waves, where he’s been getting incredible care. There, he has received pain killers, X-Rays and many other tests. Tonight we got a call that there’s an abnormality with his kidneys; and that he needs to stay overnight and have an ultrasound.  

My fiancé and I are doing all that we can to make sure we can proved the best care and decisions for Chase possible. That being said we are over double what our “budget” originally was. Myself working in tourism finances has been incredibly hard during COVID-19 as we know  it has been for many others. This is absolutely something we hate doing but we appreciate any and all help we receive. Currently Chases vetbills are at $2500 and we can only imagine willgo up tomorrow.
