Dear Friends and Family of Chase and Krissy –
Chase has been in a terrible car accident and could use some help.
On the morning of Wednesday, June 21st, Chase was heading off to start his first day at a new job but devastatingly on his way there, he was hit head on by another car. Details about this are still fuzzy, but reports say that at the last moment Chase attempted to get out of the way but was hit at full speed on the front driver side. Chase’s car was severely damaged and thanks to the quick actions of an undercover police officer a few cars behind (THANK YOU wherever you are), he was extracted from his car with the Jaws of Life and quickly airlifted to the hospital where a team of surgeons waited to operate on his injuries. He suffered multiple fractures to his left femur and his left arm but the most concerning of his injuries are to his head. He had such severe brain swelling the surgical team removed a portion of his skull to relieve the pressure. The neurosurgeon reported it likely that he will suffer long term effects from his trauma but the extent is unclear until they can wake him up completely. To everyone’s profound relief, Chase has shown some improvement over the last 24 hours and because of his fighting spirit and stubborn perseverance recovery is starting to seem a possibility.
Now for the help part… Chase was on his way to a new job so he and Krissy find themselves with questionable insurance coverage and questionable income and a very long road to recovery ahead. Please, PLEASE help if you can.
