Through a series of unfortunate events, Chuck lost his house to foreclosure in 2016 and his remaining assets do not cover the significant tax debt his estate now owes.
Chuck is survived by his loving daughter Chase who now finds herself essentially homeless and alone in funding her education at the young age of 18. She is an amazing, smart, courageous, hard-working, and beautiful young woman in her Freshman year at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA. Although she worked two jobs (60-80 hours a week) over the summer to save money for school, she now has no home to return to on breaks or over the summer with her father gone. It is unclear whether she will be able to continue to fund her education. She is currently enrolled in an undecided Engineering major, but after her first term, she is leaning towards BioChemical Engineering and hopes to eventually work towards curing cancer or at least improving treatments and quality of life for patients.
Chase is receiving emotional and some limited financial support from me as her "pseudo stepmom" having been Chuck's partner for the last two years. However, Chuck's shocking passing has prompted many of you to ask how you can help, which is why I have set up this gofundme campaign for Chase. The best way to help is to donate whatever you can afford to help this ambitious young woman continue her dream despite her devastating loss. No amount is too small. Thank you for your support.
