Charlotte's 26th birthday present

Donation protected
The lovely Charlotte is turning 26 on December 30th and with your help, we can surprise her with an awesome present and something she desperately needs: a new laptop.

[Please keep it a surprise and don't post, share or like this page on Facebook or anywhere she might find it].

As you all know, Charlotte is a bright little spark and a very hard worker, but her personal laptop has a massive crack across the screen and is becoming temperamental in its old age. Somehow she has persevered with it and still managed to get D's and HD's at uni last semester, but I know how much of a drag it is for her trying to view word docs through the psychedelic rainbow that is spewing out from the cracked screen.

Like many of us, she has given herself over to the user-friendly but not hip-pocket friendly world of Apple. We visited a store the other day and damn those bad boys are not cheap! That is how this page came about. We might not be able to raise enough to buy her one outright, but I'm sure we can get her well on her way and it will make a huge difference.

Having a birthday on December 30th means that most of your mates are away on holidays and everyone is a bit distracted by Christmas and New Years celebrations. I know this present will mean a lot to Charlotte and she will be super stoked that it has come from so many friends and family.

I'll collate all the names and messages of those who contributed in a big card of some kind and give it to her on her birthday with anyone who is around (I think we'll be on the coast). I'll try to document the opening of the present (whether it's a real laptop or cardboard model/voucher for one) and share the moment with you all.

Please share this with anyone you think will be interested in contributing (but not publicly on Facebook).

[NOTE: On the donation page, if you leave a comment, be sure to click "remove" from your Facebook photo if it appears next to the message box so that your comment doesn't get posted on Facebook. Also remember you can donate anonymously by checking the box under your name on the donate page - I will still be able to see your name and message to add it to the card, but your donation will show as anonymous to everyone else on the campaign page].

Get in touch with me if you have any questions or would prefer to send money in some other way.

Many thanks,
Nick
