Skillbeck Athletic Grounds, home to the Charlotte Rugby Club has been around for 30+ years, and due to the growth of this facility in the Charlotte community, the deck is in need of extensive repairs and replacement. The current Board of Directors has decided that fundraising for the new deck is a top priority this year, and we need your help! With your donation, we can accomplish this goal THIS SUMMER!
Charlotte Rugby Club is home to three teams ( one Women, and two Men's sides), countless members, families, and is a venue for other Rugby programs. Repairing our deck is vital for us to continue to operate and be the outstanding facility that the community has depended on for so many years. In order to maintain being a Top Rugby destination, we must invest in our beloved property and make these necessary repairs.
Your donation will go a long way for many years, and we cannot thank you enough for reading this and making a contribution. Any amount goes a long way and we could not be more grateful! We would like to recognize our donors that are able to make exceptional gifts of over $250 and $500, and the club will be hanging a plaque with those donors names immortalized there and will hang in the club for years to come. The Charlotte Rugby club is 501(c)(3) certified charity and donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
"I personally started my Rugby journey in Charlotte at Providence High School. I would come to Skillbeck with my team to watch games, or we would need a venue for games. Charlotte RFC always provided a home field when needed, and to countless other local HS programs. Later, my College team would need a venue from time to time, and again Charlotte would step up and helps us out. Without Charlotte RFC continuing to provide support for my first teams, or other local programs.. I have no doubt that Youth and Developmental Rugby in Charlotte would not be where it is today" - Maddy Clark, Charlotte Rugby Club President.
"Charlotte Rugby club is something so incredibly special because having a clubhouse is so rare in our community. It's utilized by so much more than just our club, but by other clubs, and youth programs and national events. This place, these walls are so much more than just a building, they represent the growth of our community and the memories we've cherished creating here. We owe it to those who laid the groundwork in our past, and to those who will continue our legacy of growth, community and family to make sure our club is taken care of. Let's make sure the next generation gets a chance to make the memories that which we hold so dear." - Sydny "Murphy" Beaver, Charlotte Rugby Club Secretary
