Hello, my name is Charlotte, but most of my friends and family call me Charlie, here is my stretchable safety halter

This is my story of how I came to be the inventor of Charlies Safety Halter.

The first half of my childhood was spent riding my horse around the grounds of Oxholm Gods a castle in the north of Jylland Denmark, which came accompanied by its own church.

Horses have always been in my blood, my great great grandmother Amanda Salomonsen was one of the first women to ride in a horse race at Klampenborg with a side saddle.

At the age of 18 I went to stay for a year in London with my big brother, there I learned about becoming a gym teacher, I knew I wanted to learn more about this so I enrolled in school for 3 years when I came back to Denmark and I became a gym teacher.

It would not be the only time I went back to school, I studied further to become a beautician teaching students how to open there own beauty school, I also wrote a book about the same time called “skønhed Kommer indefra” translated it means “Beauty comes from within”. I also won seller of the year for Christian Dior with my beauty school.

I went back to school after to get further education in massage for sports people and facials.

I have always felt good about helping people or animals, I took a further course on how to help special needs children and baby swimming, while all the time keeping up one of my first loves horse riding.

I opened a gym and beauty school at Lyngby shopping center called Leader of technology school, and at the same, I worked closely with my very good friend and 8-time Olympic gold medalist in canoe Christian Frederiksen together were one of the first to open classes for big women at the gym.

I was helping people and making a difference in their lives, at the same time I had 2 beautiful children and a loving husband, I spend some of my free time out riding, what more could I ask for I had the world in the palm of my hands I was happy.

That all changed one terrible day when driving home a car crashed into the side of mine and shattered my life.
My neck was broken in 3 places and my shoulder was severely damaged, my life changed from one day to the next, I could not do anything, ME who had been so active my whole life was reduced to struggling to cook a meal, that was if I would remember to buy the things I needed to make it, my world fell apart, there would be a long road to recovery and no one knew how far my recovery could go.

I could not ride my beloved horse, I used to sit and watch her on the field and cry because we could not go for fun trips to the beach or through the forest.
The pain and headaches made it impossible to do hardly anything, after some time my husband and I got a divorce.

It was 4 years of pain and determination to ride again but finally, I did it, first some short trips and then longer and longer, I ended up winning 43 Danish master championships with my paint and quarter horses.
I decided to stable some horses on my farm for other people and one young girl came to me and asked to stable her horse, this horse had been caught by its halter on a tree while on the field and had a neck injury, I thought since I know a bit about massage maybe I could help this horse and I took a course in horse massage, the more I heard about these problems the more it affected me.

Imagine to come out to a field and find that your horse had ripped both its ears of trying to get its leg out of a halter, this is a true story that happened to a horse in Denmark.

Each year many horses suffer horrific injuries by getting caught by their halter and most of these accidents happen when they come out onto the field in the spring.
If you have been around horses long enough you know about this kind of injury.

I decided I needed to try to do something about this problem but what should it be?

Then I made Charlies Saftey Halter, it took 4 years and every penny I had to make this halter perfect, testing the different strengths and recipes for silicone.

Charlies Safety Halter is the only stretchable safety halter for horses if your horse gets its halter caught on a fence post, tree or even there leg caught in it, the halter will stretch and let the horse go free without injury and after the halter goes back to the original size. The halter also has rounded edges so it won't rub the hair of the horses face, and it is easy to wash under 10 seconds.
I am asking you the person reading this for some help to make this available to everyone who wants to keep their horse safe, I really need your help if you could just share this and give what you can even if its only 5 dollars what amounts to about 30kr in Danish money, eventually I will meet my goal and be able to start making the halters.

If you have a horse sanctuary please write to me and tell me what horses you have and where you are, I will give the first 100 halters that are made away for free to horses that live on a sanatory, and I will continue to give halters away, after that for every 100 halters sold I will give 5 for free to horses in need.
I Really hope you will help me in my quest to save horses from horrific pain and suffering.

Thank you
Charlotte Hartwig

ABOUT CHARLIES SAFETY HALTER

The halter is very soft and light.

Many material halters become waterlogged, water runs right off the silicone halter.

The halter is very easy to clean, just use spray it with water and it's clean and dry in seconds.

The halter is designed with round edges so it will not damage the hairs on the head.

The halters buckle is made of hard plastic, so horses with nickel allergy can safely wear them.

The halter is not affected by weather,  + 100 to minus 50 degrees.

To advertise Charlie's Safety Halter for a year,
in horse magazines and online horse magazines my budget is as follows:
