Charlie has asked to take on a challenge to raise money for a worthy cause. We decided he would raise funds for something that has meaning to us. Mitzi Frank was a close friend of mine, Simon and Charlie's, she was a loving, caring and an extremely fun friend who sadly lost her battle with cancer in March 2017. In discussions with her husband before her passing they decided to set up a Memorial graduate fellowship at Virginia Tech's multi-disciplinary Integrated Cellular Responses Laboratory that include students from the College of Engineering, College of Science and the Carillion School of Medicine. This scholarship would fund a student with the desire to work in the field of breast cancer research. The department has been doing some fantastic work towards finding a cure, please watch the video to find out a little more.

Charlie will be running the equivalent of a marathon 26.2 miles over his Easter holidays, starting on Saturday 30th March and completing the distance by Tuesday 23rd April. Most of you will know Charlie, but those that don't he's just 9 years old.
