Ladies and Gentleman, I come to you today with a heavy heart, yet with immense gratitude for the life of my son, Charles "Chucky" McDowell II. It is true, we've lost him far too early, at just 38 years old, the beautiful life he led lives on in each of us who had a privilege of being part of his journey- a journey so full of love, laughter and extraordinary kindness.
Let me begin by saying, my child was never just mine; he was a beacon of hope and joy for everyone around him. His laughter, his squinty-eyed smiles, and his arms outstretched for a warm hug are all etched deeply into our hearts.
Chucky was indeed my son by birth but his soul, his spirit and the values he embodied described Chucky's heart to be with our lord and savior. Chucky cherished life and lived every day to the fullest. I know he is dancing up in heaven with family waiting on him for his wonderful hug. Chucky leaves behind 2 precious children ages 12 & 5 that he loved unconditionally.
We come to you today to ask for help with a proper funeral for Chucky. If anyone was ever in need Chucky was always there to lend a helping hand. Chucky was taken far too soon and hadn't received his benefits from his job just yet so we are left with the burden of providing all the cost associated with this horrific accident. Anything would help and we all greatly appreciate it. I know Chucky is looking down on me. Thank you and God bless.
