<div><strong>Charlestown Football Club</strong> is a youth football organisation based in St Austell, Cornwall. Established in 1972 as part of the 2nd Charlestown Scout Group, the club has grown significantly and now supports more than 400 registered players aged 5 to 16. In recent years we have added a Ladies Team to our club.

<div>Our annual summer tournament has rapidly developed into one of the largest youth football events in Cornwall, typically attracting over 100 participating teams.

<div>Since 2006, the club has operated the Mini Soccer Centre at St Mewan Park, offering boys and girls the opportunity to enjoy football in a friendly, inclusive, and safe environment. This initiative provides an excellent introduction to the sport and fosters the early development of key skills.

<div><strong>Our Mission</strong> is to provide the highest-quality environment for young players to enjoy, progress, and thrive through football, while remaining a valued part of the local community.

<div><strong>Our Vision</strong> is to deliver FA accredited standards of youth football across Cornwall, enabling young people to enjoy the game, develop their abilities, and understand the importance of teamwork.

<div><strong>Our Aim</strong> is to raise funds to build a high-quality artificial football pitch suitable for seven-a-side matches. This facility will support all club members, local schools, and the wider community. It will promote physical and mental wellbeing, offer inclusive access to sport, and strengthen youth engagement for both boys and girls. Including our Ladies football team.

<div>Throughout the year, we will be holding a range of fundraising events.

<div><strong>Our main event</strong> will take place over the weekend of <strong>31 July 2026</strong>, during which three dedicated volunteers, Ian Bassett, Tom Crapp, and Matthew Knowles, will walk the Cornish coastal path, collectively covering 258 miles in three days. They will be supported along the route by club members and players.
