Greetings everyone, and thank you for taking the time to help. We have set up this campaign to help out an amazing man who had the misfortune of falling victim, to a senseless acttack. Our goal is to raise money to aid in medical bills and loss wages for our dear friend and his beautiful young family.
On the night of June 22, 2017, Charles was at a neighborhood bar visiting some friends, when a fight broke out around him and he became an innocent bystander of an angry bar patron's unwarranted violent outburst. Merely at the wrong place at the wrong time, he was blindsided with a haymaker to the face. As a result of this blindside attack, Charles, received a broken zygomatic arch (cheek bone), fractured orbital and fractured sinus bones. Charles has had surgery to correct his injuries and I am glad to inform everyone, that he is fine and in good spirits. Although the VA will cover most of the medical care, there are still some expenses that his coverage will not cover, such as lost wages. He is going to need at least 6 weeks to recover and will not be able to work for 3 weeks.
I have worked in the service industry for over 20 years and have been fortunate to meet some of my best friends through work. Charles is without a doubt, one of them. He is an amazing father, friend, husband and Marine. One of the great things about working in the service industry, is that we are family and we always take care of one another. Often times we spend more hours in the day with our co-workers, than we do with our spouses or relatives. So we implore you to please take a moment and consider the struggles Charles is going through, as a father to an adorable young boy (Levi), a husband to an extremely loving and supportive wife(Sarah), and a brother to his military and service industry families. We can not wait to have him back, and we'll do everything we can to help him financially through this unfortunate time.
