Charles Rogers Memorial Scholarship

The Charles Rogers Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund has been set up by the Rogers family to honor the memory of Chuck and the impact that he has had on numerous student athletes throughout Fremont Union High School District.
During Chuck's career in the District, he taught Physical Education, Life Science Biology, Work Experience, and coached eight different sports. He began teaching and coaching at Monta Vista HS in 1969. In 1975 he became the head football coach at Cupertino HS. Chuck remained at Cupertino until 1992 when he transferred to Lynbrook HS as the Athletic Director. During those years the teams Chuck was fortunate to coach (varsity & frosh/soph) amassed seven football titles and eight playoff appearances.
Chuck had the opportunity to during his time at FUHSD to work with some very supportive and amazing students and staff. Over the years those relationships were key to his success.
In honor of our loving father and coach, the family will use the money raised each year towards helping a graduating FUHSD student athlete in pursuit of their college education.
We are so grateful for all the outreach and kind words we have received so far and would love to turn all of the support into something positive to carry on into the future.
