Charles Jaylen Boykins was a young vivacious man loved by many. His smile could light up your darkest days and his laugh was contagious. To try an summarize his short time on earth in just a few paragraphs is impossible. For those of you that did not have the privilege of meeting Charles i will try my best to explain to you how great he was.

Charles was a man of many talents! He was a phenomenal poker player and hoped to one day test his skills in the casino. Everyday was like being in a comedy club when you were with Charles. He loved to make people laugh and joked around 24/7. Charles loved to write poetry that was so deep and touching. When i read his poetry it absolutely blew my mind! He loved to dance and sing as many of us do. Those of you who know what a jokester he was will agree he could not sit still for any of Taylor Swift's songs <3 He enjoyed smoothis king :), playing  pool, shooting hoops, reading, working out and discussing politics as well. One thing many people don't know about him as that he had a passion for working with the learning disabled. He did not have tolerance for bullying and would stand up for anyone . Charles was raised to be kind and loving and this was obvious everyday.

Charles leaves behind so many heartbroken people that loved him more than life. His sister Cheyenne who is currently a senior at Brookwood in Snellville, Georgia. Cheyenne and Charles were thick as thieves and best friends as they were were only 14 months apart. The bond they had was undeniable and they always had each other's backs no matter what. Charles also leaves behind his mother, Bobbie, and his father, Ingram.  The 4 of them enjoyed eating at Red lobsters, going to Dave and Busters and talking for hours on end. Charles' mother, Bobbie, was his biggest fan! She would do anything to make her son happy and always put her children before herself. Charles' father, Ingram, had a strong bond with his son. As his father he was raising his boy to be an honorable man. Charles' family will never be the same without him. Charles also leaves behind his best friend Shawn(who was his brother-not by blood but since they were 7 years old) 2 grandmothers, his 3 cousins as well as many aunts and uncles.

Charles was a 19 year old college student at the University of North Georgia. His parents worked so hard to send him here and couldn't be prouder of his accomplishments. He dreamed of being an orthopedic surgeon as he was attending pre-med. The last 7 months of Charles life were spent attending school, making lots of new friends and spending the weekends and breaks with his family. He was having the time of his life with his new found freedom of living in a dorm and taking the steps towards adulthood. It was on his return from spring break that we lost our bright star Charles. He had driven down to Panama City with a group of friends to enjoy the beach and the pleasures of being young and free. (He NEVER did drugs and NEVER drank as he was a health nut and worked out religiously. ) Shortly after they arrived, Charles went to urgent care and had come down with strep throat. Because of this he missed out on some of the festivities and had decided to extend his stay. Charles family was expecting him home wednesday but he called them informing them he wanted to stay longer. Charles mom's anxiety was through the roof because this was his first vacation without his family. She wanted to drive down there and get him but everyone suggested she didn't. They knew he was having the time of his life and he would be back soon. But he didn't come home...saturday morning at 8:56 am we lost our Charles in a vehicle wreck and he was sent home to God. This family will never be the same, no parent should ever have to bury their child. He was suppose to rule the world, he suppose to make this world better, he was suppose to stay so we could love him. We love you Charles, we miss you Charles, we are selfish Charles and we want you here! Heaven gained a beautiful angel this weekend...until we meet again Chuck-e-mo <3 <3 xoxo Thank you in advance for your help and support. Live everyday like its your last <3
