Most of you don't know that Charles has been battling cancer this year. He was diagnosed with multiple myeloma. A rare cancer disease for men his age. We hadn't shared much about it because we wanted to take this on ourselves. Hoping and praying this would be something we could overcome in a short period of time. He is such a strong human being. Any of you that have met him or know him, know that he has a heart of gold and can always put a smile on your face. As strong as they come ❤
Recently his team of doctors advised him that his cancer is turning very aggressive and has little time to fight. He has had several tumors come back very quickly. His team of doctors are taking extreme measures and adding stronger chemotherapy to his routine treatment. In hopes that this new plan of chemotherapy can stop the disease from progressing. This news is devastating for us.
The next planned step is as follows, Charles is going to need a bone marrow transplant. He is scheduled for a stem cell transplant between September and October 2018. We need help funding this procedure since it could costs hundreds of thousands of dollars. He will be in a hospital through this procedure for a few months plus recovery time which is usually 6 months. He will need special care and the costs could really add up. Expenses for traveling, procedures, hospital fees, medications and anything else in between.
