Charlene's Stroke Recovery

Donation protected

In the blink of an eye, anyone can experience a life-changing event. Albeit yourself, a loved one or a close friend, the reality and struggle can become an extreme burden. The hardships that any of us may have to face after an accident, heart attack, being diagnosed with a form of cancer, suffering from a stroke or any other devistating illness, can become Larger than Life, especially when the medical bills start piling up. This is exactly what happened to a loved one of mine.
On November 27th 2017, my fiance Charlene, suffered a massive cryptogenic stroke. The blood clot that affected her main artery and three branches was so large, that when she was administered the tPA, that usually dissolves the clot, it did not even touch it. Therefore, the doctors and staff had to perform a procedure called a surgical thrombectomy.
Charlene was a full-time Relationship Banker with benefits, until she took a temporary part-time position, with the same employer, to further her career. With this move, she lost her benefits until she went back to a full time position. But before she got the chance to go back to a full-time position with her benefits reinstated she had, in the blink of an eye, experienced and now dealing with and living with her devastating illness.
After Charlene's experience with the EMTs, her emergency room visit and surgical procedure, along with a few days stay in the ICU, then a week on a general medical floor followed by a three-week stay in an Inpatient Rehab Facility, along with the many doctors that was involved with her case, her medical bills are profoundly extreme. Charlene applied for medical assistance while she was in the hospital, and was denied. She applied a second time and was denied again. She is currently on her third application for medical assistance, and if accepted the burden of most of the medical bills will still be her responsibility. And without any medical insurance she cannot receive the therapy or medicines that she so desperately needs right now.
We are reaching out for a helping hand, some generosity, to offset some of these medical bills. Also with your help and generosity, we together, can get Charlene the physical, occupational, speech therapy and medicines that she so desperately needs.
If you are unable to donate at this time, we completely understand. Please say a prayer for Charlene or send her some good vibes and please share this.
Bless you all,
