Charlee Shay

On Friday June 23rd our family's life changed forever. Our little angel Charlee Shay woke up and couldn't walk. After having an MRI done we were hit with the most unexpected news. Our healthy, happy little girl, had a tumor the size of a lemon on her kidney. After more tests being done what we have learned is my little niece, my sister & brother-in-law's beautiful baby girl was diagnosed with neuroblastoma cancer stage 4. Our life has forever changed. Charlee has already started aggressive chemotherapy and her fight has begun. On top of all of this devastating news, the reason she could not walk was not due to the cancer. The reason she could not walk is because she was diagnosed with a rare disease abbreviated OMAS which is how we even came across this tumor. She is receiving different treatment for that but, the chemo should help with those symptoms as well. Chemotherapy will be for 2 consistent years to assure that the cancer is fully out of her body & that it stays that way. With that being said, my sister of course will be out of work for god knows how long and my brother-in-law will want to be able to attend any important appointment for their daughter. So, finances are obviously a worry. Any donation you could possibly make is so much appreciated by our family. This is something we would not wish on our worst enemy. It is a nightmare you cannot wake up from. Charlee is a tough cookie and unlike any other 21 month old I have ever met in my life. She WILL fight her fight. #Charleestrong
