Charity for Chandler

Hi everyone,

I’ve created this fundraiser for a dear co-worker of mine, Missy (Rebecca) Benton. Missy has worked for us at Parker’s for almost 3 years. She now is the store manager for Parker’s #69 in Pooler. We have an extremely close working relationship and have grown to be great friends. 

Update August 5th 2020: Chandler is still in hospital. He has yet to regain consciousness. He is off the ventilator and now breathing through a trach. He has battled a staph infection and over came many hurdles that his doctors were astonished by. Today he is going in for a very serious surgery. He has some major fluid build up in his head. They will be going in to drain it and they also will be reattaching part of his skull that they removed initially. They will give him a day a day or 2 to see how he does after the surgery. If the fluid builds up again they will have to go back in and put in a shunt ( which the surgeons really do NOT want to ). We need major prayers right now and support.

On June 23, while Missy was at work, her 18 month old little boy, Chandler, took a horrible fall down a flight of stairs. Missy was notified in the middle of her shift and rushed to be by his side at Coastal Carolina. He suffered a fractured skull and had some major brain bleeding. He was then life-flighted to Memorial hospital in Savannah for emergency surgery. Chandler is now in a medically induced coma in the PICU. He has a long battle ahead of him before he begins the recovery process. 

Missy is a young, single, devoted, mother in her early 20s. Right now she is stuck in a horrific nightmare, watching her son fight for his life.  I’m calling on the Savannah and Parker’s community  to help and share Chandlers story, in hopes of creating a substantial medical relief fund for my dear friend and her little boy.  Any little bit that you can contribute would be a huge help!
