My name is Sam Byrne I have recently been diagnosed with BPD Borderline Personality Disorder or Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder. Which means I have struggled my whole life with mental health problems.
I am shaving all my hair off LIVE!! This is why:
Recently Clare Hill my Uncles wife passed away from Colon and Stomach Cancer on the 30th January 2021, in the care of Mary Stevens Hospice at the tender age of 42.
She also struggled with mental health her entire life, but was such an inspiration to me.
She showed me that you can accomplish anything if you want to, no matter where your brain was.
She was an accomplished author writing books about her journey with mental health.

Broken - this one's a crime novel.
She found a way to get up on stage and try stand up comedy, the strength she had to try this out even with her mental health and physical health constraints leaves me in awe.
1st Standup Show
She had strong opinions, fought for a cause by your side, and was just herself till the end. She didn't shy away from what she was feeling, and always let you know what she thought. She shared her battle with cancer unabashedly keeping us all aware of the struggle and the strength she had trying to fight it through a pandemic non the less.
She leaves behind a loving Husband Martin Day.
A wonderful Son, her greatest achievement Elliott Hill, and her first grandchild.
Her journey was not easy with this life ruining disease as you can read for yourself here Dudley News however Mary Stevens Hospice provided her with the security and care she needed near the end.
And now this is where my entrance to the story begins.
I want to show my thanks to Mary Stevens Hospice Charity Registration Number: 517656 and also show homage to my friend Clare Hill and our family by going out there and doing something awe inspiring and daring....... Drum roll please...........
I will be shaving all my hair off to raise money and awareness for the great work of MSH in memory of Clare Hill and her struggle through Cancer.
! Yep all this gone!
As we have a small matter of a Pandemic on our hands I will be doing this live on YouTube for the world to see on Saturday the 6th of March 2021.
