Sending Love to the Philippines

Recently, I have been continuously swept off my feet by the
good news of Jesus. God has been breaking my heart for the lost and
impoverished through several visits to the Philippines
and my recent mission trip to the Dominican Republic last summer. As a
result, my desire to "learn to do good; seek justice, rescue the oppressed,
defend the orphan, and plead for the widow" [Isaiah 1:17] has been growing into
a big reality for my life. The Lord has been working in this area of my life
since I first encountered third-world poverty in the Philippines in high school. I
am excited to share with you about this opportunity God has put before me this
year!
This fall, I will serve in the Philippines for 3 months through "Adventures In Mission" (AIM) in their Passport program. Passport is a program that equips and empowers college students to expand God's kingdom alongside local ministries and churches overseas. I will be experiencing this in Manila by the means of sharing the gospel, discipleship, and advocating justice for orphans, the poor and the traffic marked.

I am confident that God will provide me with the resources I need for this trip, but ultimately my prayer is that He will do that through you. I am writing to you hoping that you will partner with me in my ministry. First, I will need prayer as I prepare for my trip and while I am in the Philippines. I will have a blog set up while I am doing ministry so you are updated on how the Lord is moving in this ministry.
I will also need to raise enough money to put me on that plane in August, and to cover my expenses (food, housing...) while I am on the mission field. Would you prayerfully consider supporting me in this by giving a one-time gift of $200, $100, $50 or any other amount that you feel led to give? Any amount that you give is the right amount and is greatly appreciated!
I am so thrilled and thankful for this chance to be a part of God's redemption process in the Philippines. It will be an opportunity for spiritual growth and securing my identity in Christ. I pray that as God takes me out of my comfort zone this year I will experience his grace and love for the nations.
