Charis fights cancer the 3rd time!!

After multiple seizures, our close friend Charis learned Breast cancer had returned the 3rd time!!! Charis, a single mother known for her kindness, generous spirit, big heart and beautiful smile was devastated when she learned cancer had spread to her brain. Saddened, physically, mentally, emotionally and financially challenged with the possibilities and the undeniable future that lies ahead. Charis is presently struggling to keep up with high cost of medical insurance, medical expenses not covered by insurance, plus nonmedical bills for example rent, water, light, cell phone bills and food. Charis needs our help to pay for treatment programs to help prolong and sustain her life.  Without a job, she has been unable to keep up with these expenses including supporting her only son who is college bound.  Charis needs our help desperately to continue receiving care that can prolong her life, without which she’s unable to undergo further treatment at this time.

Charis story and journey with breast cancer is personal to me, not just because she’s my close friend, shes like a sister to me, my college roomie and my first encounter with breast cancer in 2007. As a breast survivor myself, I want to plead with all of you reading this especially those of you who have been affected directly or indirectly and suffered the devastation of this dreadful disease.
