Serving in Nicaragua!

Recently I went on my very first missions trip to Queretaro, Mexico. We helped renovate an orphange that was set to become "home" to about 12 boys and girls. We also spent some time in the mountains of Jalpan to help a church with their worship and children ministries. I had such a wonderful time getting to love and be loved on by these wonderful people! Serving them and just knowing we were making a difference simply by being there and sharing in the love of Christ with our brothers and sisters in the Lord filled my heart with such gladness and fulfillment. I was even inspired to learn Spanish upon returning to school! Estoy aprendiendo lentamente! Lol. When I returned home I was in a little bit of a "funk" because I realized how blessed we are even in little things. While Mexico may not be "third-world" such as Africa or even India, there are still many things they don't have that we do that are considered luxuries and we don't even think twice about.
I knew after that trip that missions was something I wanted to make an annual thing of if God provided the opportunity as well as the funds for me to go. Well he did! He put heavily on my heart the desire to join New Hope Church on their missions trip to Nicaragua, June 20-27, 2015. After going through the application process and being accepted to join a group of 20, out of many who had applied, I knew God had already paved the way and finances would soon follow! So here I am, asking YOU to partner with me in sharing the love of Christ with the beautiful people of Nicaragua! Whether you donate $1, $10, $100, or $0 and a whole lotta prayer, I will be equally grateful and thankful. All funds are due April 18th!
I can not WAIT to see what God is going to do through our team and through the people. I tear up when I think about how lives will be changed, including my own. It is a beautiful thing to share with and serve others.
