Character Walk 2023 - A Pledge to the Rescues

I believe that a lot of us have something in common. That is, our lives have been affected by a rescue animal or the selfless work that animal rescues do on a daily basis. Whether is a cat, dog, bird, or horse, animal rescues provide a needed service to the animals and, in many cases, to the people who are fortunate enough to provide them a home.
In Character Walk 2023, we are so grateful to be working with seven organizations that embody the very best in service, care, and compassion for a variety of animals. These rescues stretch throughout the eastern seaboard.

This is a personal project for me! In 2015, my son and I rescued our new adventure pup, Kyli. In more ways than one, Kyli has saved my life. So, in early 2022, when I decided I wanted to do something to raise money and increase awareness of the amazing work these organizations do on a daily basis, I knew that Kyli needed to join me! It was also very easy to determine the starting and ending point. Caring Hearts for Canines made it possible for us to add Kyli to our family, and PAWS gave us Teak, our cat. (Unfortunately, in November 2022, Teak left our family which makes this walk even more special for Kyli and me...they were best friends.
Our pledge to you is that we anticipate 100% of the money raised through pledges during Character Walk 2023 goes directly and equally to all of the participating organizations.
