Chantelle Medlam

My name is Ellice, and I have created this fundraiser to assist my nieces and nephew raise funds for their mother's funeral.

Chantelle was tragically taken on Thursday, the 20th of October 2022, when a driver hit her while crossing a road in Murray Bridge and did not stop to render assistance leaving her to die on the road alone, leaving behind 5 children.

Chantelle’s eldest daughter Chloe (21), has taken on the responsibility of being her mother’s next of kin and making arrangements for her mother’s funeral.

Chloe had already suffered a tragic loss this year when her daughter Dawn was born prematurely and unfortunately did not make it.

As Chantelle’s death was sudden and unexpected and Chloe is Chantelle’s only adult child, Chloe does not have the finances to be able to give Chantelle a proper service.

We are looking at other financial assistance options through the state government. Still, they only cover a very basic service, and we feel Chantelle deserves a dignified and meaningful service as her death was so tragic.
