Channel City Flyers Legal Defense Fund

Greetings Everybody,

Channel City Flyers is a non profit flying club based at Santa Barbara Airport (KSBA) in California. 

We started this club with the idea of fostering community in General Aviation. We wanted to build something big, that would offer more opportunities to more people. Aviation is expensive, but we wanted to make it more economical to those who are interested. 

Unfortunately, we are being persecuted by the Airport Administration because we allow primary instruction in our aircraft. A party at the airport has filed a complaint and alleges we give unfair competition to other operators. We disagree with this assessment and defended ourselves against all accusations. 

However, without giving due process or even providing evidence, the airport administration has made demands, which on our view, are not legitimate.

This fund is to help us pay the necessary legal fees to fight against the Administration's decision to ban us. 

I will do my best to offer up all the evidence that supports our cause in the coming days and weeks.

As a side note to our donors, the money will be going directly into a separate Channel City Flyers Account to pay legal costs. Any money left over after all legal fees have been paid will be held for a period of one year. Any remaining funds will either be placed into a legal defense fund for flying clubs or donated to aviation based charities such as Angel Flights West, Above the Clouds Kids, Pilots and Paws, etc.
