<div>For many years, our family has chosen to celebrate Christmas in a different way.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Instead of focusing only on gifts for ourselves, we save throughout the year so we can travel to Nicaragua and personally give back to children and families in need. This has never been part of a nonprofit organization or funded by outside donations. Everything we’ve given over the years has come from our own savings, our own time, and our hearts.
</div>

<div>We’ve filled backpacks with school supplies for children who dream of going to school prepared. We’ve delivered groceries to families struggling to put food on the table. We’ve purchased beds for children sleeping on the floor. We’ve provided shoes, clothing, and other basic necessities that many of us take for granted.

<div>We’ve also had the privilege of partnering with local churches that faithfully serve their communities by providing meals and support to children and elderly individuals in need.

<div>Every trip reminds us that while we’ve been able to help many families, we’ve also had to leave knowing there were so many more we couldn’t reach.

<div>Desde hace muchos años, nuestra familia ha decidido celebrar la Navidad de una manera diferente.

<div>En lugar de enfocarnos únicamente en regalos para nosotros, ahorramos durante todo el año para viajar a Nicaragua y ayudar personalmente a niños y familias que viven con muchas necesidades. Nunca lo hemos hecho como parte de una organización sin fines de lucro ni con fondos de otras personas. Todo lo que hemos entregado durante estos años ha salido de nuestros propios ahorros, nuestro tiempo y, sobre todo, de nuestro corazón.

<div>Hemos entregado mochilas con útiles escolares a niños que sueñan con comenzar la escuela preparados. Hemos llevado alimentos a familias que luchan por poner comida en su mesa. Hemos comprado camas para niños que dormían en el piso. También hemos entregado zapatos, ropa y otras necesidades básicas que muchas veces damos por sentadas.

<div>Además, hemos tenido el privilegio de trabajar junto a iglesias locales que sirven fielmente a sus comunidades, apoyándolas para que puedan seguir alimentando y ayudando a niños y adultos mayores que tanto lo necesitan.

<div>For the first time, we’re inviting others to become part of our family’s mission.

<div>We’re not asking because we’ve stopped giving. We’ll continue this mission whether we receive donations or not, just as we always have.

<div>We’re asking because we’ve seen firsthand how great the need truly is, and together we can help more families than we ever could alone.
