Changing Lives Malawi - Bright Futures - phase 2

Changing Lives Malawi www.changinglivesmalawi.com supports projects in rural northern Malawi which help over 500 orphans and other vulnerable children. One of these projects is Bright Futures Secondary School. Because it is such a big project, we are having to raise money in phases. Phase 1 has been successfully completed - comprising of staff accommodation and two classrooms. Now we need to raise funds to build classrooms 3 & 4.

Secondary education has to be paid for in Malawi. There were not enough places available in the nearest secondary schools for all the children we help support. They couldn't afford to go without financial help anyway. So, with lots of hard work and help from some wonderful people, phase 1 of Bright Futures Secondary School opened on 7/11/22.

Class sizes are smaller than other schools to ensure that these vulnerable teenagers have the best chance of a brighter future. Students receive a free cooked lunch each day, possibly their only meal of the day. They have also been given school uniform, school bags, blankets and other supplies they need for school.

In future, we intend to add dedicated classrooms for science and IT and dormitories for the most vulnerable children living furthest away. However, classrooms 3 and 4 must come first. Please will you help us?
